Game of the Week: Washington State at Arizona State

Furthermore, he has stepped up his play since conference games began, scoring at least 20 points in each of the first four Pac-10 contests. Joining him on the wing is fellow freshman Ty Abbott. He is a good three-point shooter and scorer who needs to develop some consistency as his career progresses. In the Sun Devils' four-guard lineup, Jerren Shipp and Derek Glasser also start. Shipp does a little of everything and can knock down shots, while Glasser is a very solid point guard who takes care of the ball at an unbelievable rate. His assist-to-turnover ratio is nearly four-to-one. Christian Polk sees minutes off the bench, although he hasn't played in three of the last four games. Jamelle McMillan backs up at the point.

Arizona State usually utilizes four perimeter players and one big man on the floor.

Humiliation for Edwards

In any case, this piece is completely wrong. Hillary had plenty of time, on her private plane to be in Chicago and to be at this fundraiser. Hey guys, she actually did both. So it's wrong on facts, as well as silly and naïve in its analysis, but hey who cares? I hear Edwards got a haircut. ...

1) Yes, Hillary has to have fundraisers. But then she should be honest about it--she shouldn't try to hide the cause of her "scheduling conflict" from the Kos crowd, treating them like children who can be conned. That's the basic complaint; 2) Yes, she was at the Kos convention and at the fundraiser, but she didn't apparently have time for the advertised "breakout" session after the YearlyKos candidates' forum. When Kossacks kicked up a fuss, a session was apparently hastily scheduled for before the forum; 3) These things are scheduled long in advance, as Alterman says.

New motion in Tankleff case

The latest witness, James Moore, contacted Tankleff's attorney, Bruce Barket of Garden City, the morning after Suffolk County Court Judge Stephen Braslow's decision. Moore had information that his former co-worker, Peter Kent, confessed to him twice about murdering Arlene and Seymour Tankleff in 1988, Barket said.

Spokesmen for the Suffolk district attorney's office declined to comment on the motion. Tank- leff, now 34, was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder in 1990 and is serving a sentence of 50 to life in prison.

Gearing Up Test-Driving a Sno-Park Maserati

The fancy-versus-cheap question is arising more often as sled makers veer toward one or the other extreme. Shoppers increasingly see their sled options limited to either the pricey, high-speed vehicles designed for ski slopes or the quasidisposable foam slabs and plastic saucers featured in mass-retail stores.

Jeff Thelen's Blog

But sorry, with the rising cost of programming and the rising competition from the growing number of channels, I don't see this stopping any time soon.JSure is nice and quiet on all the PACKER blogs this morning!! (TSK)I can't figure out the tone of your message. Are you taking a cheap shot? And if so, any Packer fans want to help me respond? JThis is about Bush's economic package. If I understood it right, the low income people who live on pensions, etc., and don't have to file an income tax wouldn't be getting any of this money. Do you know or can you find out if this is correct? If it is, it's a rip-off to the low income people who could use the extra money. The last I heard, there was a debate in Washington D.C. over that very topic. With some wanting everyone to get the checks and others wanting the money to go only to those who paid taxes.
